Choose a processing path, check the tool’s limits, and recover from common document and download problems.
Choose the right processing path
Read the tool’s processing label before adding a file. Local document content stays on the device; server and external-AI paths need their respective confirmation. Limited operational events may still be sent.

Browser and file requirements
- Current browser
- Use a current Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari with JavaScript and downloads enabled. Desktop browsers are preferable for large documents.
- Available memory
- PDF pages and high-resolution images use device memory. Close heavy tabs, keep the page active, and process smaller batches if the browser struggles.
- Supported source files
- Follow each upload area’s formats and limits. The general local ceiling is 80 MB and 120 PDF pages; raster, image, merge, cloud, and complex-file limits can be lower. A supported extension does not guarantee a valid or processable file.
Troubleshooting
Start from a separate copy of the original document. Check results before replacing or sharing a source.
The file is rejected before processing
Check the accepted format and count shown in the upload area. Export a valid source file from the original application. Renaming an extension does not convert a file.
The PDF is encrypted or asks for a password
Use Unlock PDF only for a document you are authorized to change, with the correct password and any required owner permissions. This tool uploads the file after server-processing confirmation and depends on an available server engine. Most local tools require an unlocked PDF. Keep the protected original and handle passwords privately.
The PDF cannot be opened
Download the source again or open and re-export it as a PDF. Incomplete downloads, damaged structure, and unsupported encryption can prevent processing.
A large file fails or processing stops
Check the tool’s displayed limit. The general local ceiling is 80 MB and 120 PDF pages, with lower limits for some operations. Try fewer pages, lower image resolution, or smaller batches. Large and complex files can fail below these ceilings.
The browser runs out of memory or reloads
Close memory-heavy tabs, restart the browser, and retry a smaller batch. Keep originals and download completed results before leaving the page; there is no permanent recovery library.
A scanned page has no usable text
Searchable PDF runs OCR locally on selected pages in English, Simplified Chinese, or Traditional Chinese, without uploading document content. Review recognized text and confidence settings. Hybrid conversion and PDF summaries may instead use cloud OCR or vision after separate confirmation. Choose that path only when external processing is permitted.
The result does not download
Allow downloads for Konvra, check the browser download panel, and use the result’s download action again. On mobile, check Files or Downloads. Cancelling or leaving before preparation completes can discard the result.
OCR or AI is unavailable or incomplete
Check the displayed error and processing label. Native server jobs use limits of 25 MB input, 120 pages, 50 MB output, two minutes, two concurrent jobs, and eight requests per minute per network-derived identifier. Required engines, signature verification, or independent PDF/A validation can be unavailable on a deployment. AI capacity and provider failures can affect external processing. Cancellation cannot recall data already sent. Review output warnings and recovered values before use.
Self-service guidance
Konvra develops these tools and provides this self-service guide. No support email, telephone number, or request form is currently published. Keep originals, follow each tool’s handling notice, and review outputs. Visual signing does not create a certificate signature; offline verification does not check certificate trust or revocation. Metadata inspection is not an accessibility certification, and PDF/A reports do not promise legal or archival acceptance. Review privacy choices and terms before server or external-AI processing.
